These
positions consist of rotational assignments of 2-3 months in length
in the Accounting, Auditing, Business Analysis, Payroll, and/or
Business Office functions. Generally, successful candidate(s) will
assist staff in some or all of the following areas:
· Reconcile cash, general ledger accounts, including problem
analysis/resolution.
· Perform varied functions including troubleshooting one-of-a-kind
problems, research, and financial analysis.
· Tracking costs, budgets, schedule and program funds by reviewing
key data sources (including cost reports) and interacting with staff
on a regular basis.
· Assist in the development, coordination and presentation of
financial forecasts, budgets and budget revisions.
· Assist the project proposal preparation process by assembling
estimates of project cost components (staff, equipment,
administrative support).
· Assist with auditing and testing of internal controls
Qualifications:
· Applicants must be
in junior or senior year of undergraduate program, majoring in
Finance and/or Accounting, or be in an MBA Program.
· Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
· Proficient in personal computer usage with competency in
spreadsheet programs, preferably Excel.
· Good oral and written communication skills, with
proactive/outgoing attitude.
· A stated desire to be considered for full-time employment upon
graduation.
· Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word software
Desirable:
· To be working towards a Master’s in Business Administration, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Managerial Accountant and/or Project Management Professional INL summer interns will represent INL at Battelle Memorial Institute (BMI) Intern Forum in July 2008. Travel costs to Columbus, Ohio will be paid by INL. Interns will present a project or business case about their INL internship experience to the group of interns and their management sponsors representing BMI and the 4 DOE National Laboratories that BMI affiliate companies manage.

Duties:
Assure that product quality meets or exceeds guidelines set by the
Lamb Weston, the FDA, and USDA.
Achieve maximum production and the efficient utilization of raw
product and plant equipment by coordinating activities and
maintaining communications within the department and with all other
departments. Assure compliance of food safety and sanitation
standards. Assure that production priorities are being achieved by
checking and complying with weekly production schedules as well as
daily requirements.
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree or job experience equivalent
•4-year degree in engineering, food science or related field.
•3 - 5 years production processing, maintenance, engineering or
supervisory experience.
•Ability to work shifts &/or weekends.
