So, if you're a motivated, enthusiastic, people-oriented person with a knack for organization and who thrives in the fast-paced world of retail management, we want to talk to you. Why Walgreens? Walgreens is America's best-known, largest-volume, most-trusted pharmacy retailer. We lead the U.S. chain drugstore industry in sales, store growth, and profits. Founded in 1901, Walgreens serves more than 3.6 million customers daily and each store averages approximately $7.4 million in annual sales. In 2004, sales reached $37.5 billion marking our 30th consecutive year of record sales and earnings.
