HRA Student Chapter MBO Statement

1. Regular Meetings. Hold regular meetings in the student union twice a month during the regular semesters. These meetings may include a guest HR professional from Boise and also provide updates of HR news in the Boise area.

2.  Internships.  Provide hundreds of internships are to be made available in the Boise area for chapter members.

3.   HR Games.  Compete in Jeopardy-style for the right to compete in the national championships at the Society for Human Resource Management National Convention.

3. Scholarships. Advertise two $2000 scholarships are available to members of the student chapter.

4. Parent Chapter. Attend meetings of the parent chapter (Human Resource Association of Treasure Valley). Its meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 or 11:30 a.m. The cost for students is usually $5.00 (that's half price).

5. Shadow Program. Shadow an HR professional for a day.  Have at least three students do this.

6. Tours. Take a tour of some HR departments in Boise. Have at least three students do this.

7. Regional Conference. Attend the Northwest Human Resource Association Conference held every year in Washington/Oregon in April. Get a discount from the student chapter.

8. National Conference Attend the Society for Human Resource Management Conference held every year June. Have at least one representative come.

9. Other. Rake up Boise in "Rake-up Boise", participate in running events such as the Women's Fitness Challenge, party, eat pizza, participate in the organizational fair, join certification study groups, defeat Gundars Kaupins in a game of Q-zar.
