The purpose of this link page is to provide useful business links associated with Lithuania.  There is no commercial purpose or personal financial gain from this link page.  Most links include a title, languages used, services, and a brief description of the mission and purpose of the site.  Services include search engines, blogs, on-line polls, site of origin (e.g., .lv, .com, .net) and transactions.  Transactions could be nonfinancial (e.g., registration) to financial (e.g., payment of fees) Almost every brief description is a direct quote from the link.  Most of these direct quotes will refer to either the mission or objectives of the link.

Feminism in Lithuania (E, Lt). The Social Innovation Fund (SIF) situated in Kaunas is an NGO which was established in 1994 as a public charity organisation. It is working for the benefit and welfare of unemployed and economically at risk women providing training and retraining opportunities for them. The SIF is also dedicated to influence public policy in the area of social issues with a special emphasis on women's employment problems.

LGL - Lithuanian Gay and Lesbian Organization (E, Lt) "The Lithuanian Gay League purpose is to work to combat discrimination against lesbians and gay men and to promote their civil rights. Lithuania:  Human Rights (E)  Provides a summary of human rights issues associated with police and prison conditions.

Lithuanian Center for Human Rights (E, Lt) "The main goals of the Centre are as follows: promotion of the general public to be interested in and to respect human rights; implementation of educational programs; initiation of scientific research in the field of human rights; analysis of the human rights situation in the country; bringing up of human rights problems and suggestion of the ways for their resolution to the legislator and the Government; development of educational activities related to human rights."

Organization of Protection of Human Rights and Social Guarantees

Privacy and Human Rights:  An International Survey of Privacy Laws (E) "This report provides details of the state of privacy in fifty countries around the world. It outlines the constitutional and legal conditions of privacy protection, and summarizes important issues and events relating to privacy and surveillance."

Privacy International (E) "Privacy International (PI) is a human rights group formed in 1990 as a watchdog on surveillance by governments and corporations. PI is based in London, England, and has an office in Washington, D.C. PI has conducted campaigns throughout the world on issues ranging from wiretapping and national security, to ID cards, video surveillance, data matching, police information systems, medical privacy, and freedom of information and expression."

Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law  (E) "The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is an academic institution formed in 1984 at the Faculty of Law at Lund University, Sweden. The purpose of the Institute is to promote research, training and academic education in the fields of human rights and humanitarian law. The Raoul Wallenberg Institute is named after Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat, in order to pay homage to his well-known work in Hungary towards the end of the Second World War."
