The Bank of Latvia (Lv, E)  "The Bank of Latvia is the central bank of the Republic of Latvia. It is one of the key public institutions and carries out economic functions as prescribed by law. The principal objective of the Bank of Latvia is to regulate currency in circulation by implementing monetary policy to maintain price stability in Latvia.  The Bank of Latvia's functions are set out in the Republic of Latvia Law "On the Bank of Latvia". Among the most important objectives of the national central bank are the following: to establish and implement monetary policy in order to ensure price stability in the country, to issue the national currency; to organize and ensure the functioning of the payment and settlement systems in Latvia; to collect, record and aggregate the financial information and the data of the national payment balance, as well as to publish the processed statistical information; to manage foreign assets; to act as financial agent for the government, to issue permits (licenses) to legal persons listed in the Republic of Latvia Register of Enterprises, except credit institutions, for   the purchase and sale of foreign currency as a business activity."

Latvian Insurers Association (Lv, E)  "Latvian Insurers Association (LIA) is a public institution, which was founded on 12 August, 1993, by joint stock insurance companies registered in the Republic of Latvia. LIA represents the common interests of the insurance industry of Latvia. The association discusses issues that are relevant to the insurers, as well as informs the society about topics significant for the clients. LIA unites 16 insurance companies ( 11 non-life and 5 life), which control approximately 98% of the total Latvian insurance market. Our members offer all kinds of insurance including motor, property, health, life, as well as pension and savings insurance."

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia (Lv, E)  "The main functions of the Ministry are to plan and supervise the implementation of the Government's macroeconomic, fiscal, and economic policies.  Main duties of the Ministry of Finance are:  preparation of legislation, planning of state revenues and expenditures, management and supervision of the state budget spending process, drafting annual budget proposal for the government, customs and tax administration, etc."
